Waterford is a coastal town in southeastern Connecticut, with an area of approximately 44.6 square miles. As of the census of 2000, there were 19,152 people residing in the town.
It is home to three new, state-of-the-art elementary schools, a recently renovated middle school, and a brand-new high school, all of which are equipped with the latest technologies available to help teach the next generation of citizens a variety of subjects, and to think critically in a wide array of situations.
Waterford is also home to many attractions, including the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Harkness Memorial State Park, part of the Connecticut College Arboretum, the Waterford Speed Bowl, and many other beaches, businesses, and parks.
